12th Papua New Guinea Mining and Petroleum Investment Conference

The PNG Mining and Petroleum Investment Conference held in Sydney, Australia in December 2012 has been one of the most successful with record attendance and an opening keynote address by PNG Prime Minister Hon. Peter O'Neill.
The two-day conference program covered topics on the PNG Resource Sectors and the International Experience; Contribution of the PNG Resource Sectors; LNG Update; New Mineral Projects and Potential Developments.
Themes covered on the second day included Mining Projects; Building Capacity for the Workforce and the Community; Mining Projects and Petroleum Overview; Challenges for the Resource Sectors; Funding Resource Exploration and Development for Government and Industry in PNG.
Seminars held on the third day of the conference included: PNG Petroleum Exploration Update; Stream A on Feasibility and Advanced Exploration - Gold and Copper and Stream B on Coal and Coal Seam Methane, Iron Sands, Platinum, Nickel, Gold and Copper.
